I have installed Microsoft Office and entered the product key, but the activation wizard doesn't work. How do I solve this problem?

 Activate Microsoft 365 or a non-subscription version of Office

It means you likely do not have a valid license key. Purchase one.

Trying it via the cmd method might give you a more complete error msg if you are so inclined.

Type into the search field: cmd.exe

Click with the right mouse button on cmd.exe and select “Run as Administrator”

If you are running a 32bit Office on a 32bit windows or an 64bit office on a 64bit Windows, enter:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16>

Pressing Windows+R together 

Type "Regedit" and press enter to open the registry editor. 

Navigate to \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\AttachmentOnce 

You have found the Attachment folder click on it to locate ScanWithAntivirus on the right side, right-click on ScanWithAntivirus, select modify and put the value as "0" (i.e equals "off").This will fix the problem of "Virus Scan Failed" every time you attempt any download.
